Imagine how things might have gone had Henry decided to talk to the strange furry creature instead of assuming he was his enemy.
The creature might have heard him out and decided to lend him his help, rather than putting the dangerous alien in a quarantine cell.
Henry would have had a comfortable and climate-controlled (if occasionally very noisy) place to stay instead of going on the run, sneaking and stealing in order to survive.
He would have had a gentler introduction to the world of "talkin' mammals" overall. Since Bryce comes by the Burrow these days he might have even been introduced to him, under better terms than what ultimately transpired.
Something tells me Bryce would have even taken Henry out birding eventually. Henry would be fascinated by birds.
Ah well. Things happen for a reason. Even unexpected gaps between dimensions.
