Queen of the Monkeys
Ghoong Hwon-i is a cunning trickster who relies not only on strength, but also on deception, provocation, and an uncanny ability to sense lies. She is known as the “Golden Skull” in her homeland because she once defeated a stone serpent that was terrorizing the fertile orchards. A bold and self-assured warrior with bright golden eyes that glow more intensely when lies are spoken nearby. It is nearly impossible to deceive her, and she takes obvious pleasure in this, taunting her enemies and riling them up even before the battle begins. Her style is a blend of cunning, provocation, and agility, where her staff becomes an extension of her playful yet dangerous nature. She is capable of transforming into objects, though she is still clumsy with this gift: she might turn into a tree with a tail or something equally absurd, which often frustrates her. On top of that, her own tail has a mind of its own-sometimes helping, but far more often getting in the way and giving away her position. Ghounk adores sweet, ripe fruit, especially if it was stolen; for her, it’s part of the game and a small victory. That said, she doesn’t much care for bananas and can’t stand any jokes about them. Bold, mocking, and provocative, she sees the world as a stage where not only strength matters, but also the ability to play with others’ emotions.
