My first go around at making Hakkars' club! Used to beat down all before him to be made into more slave-things!

But so I could use it in more places I wanted to try to make it Amtgard field legal. If it is is still unknown as I would want someone other than me to confirm that as I am biased and could be missing something. The exposed foam ball 'studs' may be an issue as its not covered by cloth but I'll find out once back. I had intended for the club to be longer, almost to a max length Short in Amtgard (36 inches) but luckily before I contact cemented the main foam onto the core I decided to check my suitcase I was going to bring to FE. And it would not fit. So rather this club is now only 28 inches long to fit safely in the suitcase. Still a decent size! And short means good to use up close in tunnel battle-fight!

The 'studs' in the club are Nerf Rival ammunition. Nice and squishy-soft but still good at keeping their shape. Ten are being used in this iteration of the club in a 2 3 2 3 arrangement. I originally spray painted them silver but that rubbed off almost immediately. So I am going to try to acrylic paint them again but that will likely not last either. Something to try to work on for version 2 once home and not trying to scramble to get things finished before a plane flight. The thick extra wrapping along the top of the club was two-fold. To give me space to drill in divits for the Rival ammo without compromising the main boffing foam and also to try to give the entire club a taper down toward the handle as if it was a shaped piece of wood. Working...alright? We'll do better next time for sure. I also didn't add in the little 'metal' rings on the top and bottom of the handle. Could have put in some floor mat foam but time was running out. Something to try for next time :)

But I'll be sure to get some pictures of this being posed with in Canada and see how well the studs stay cemented into their holes. Learning to make it better later!
