My first attempt at something Western-themed, wich is my submission for the Ryan Leach July 2023 composing competition.
I didn't feel the image calls for the famous style of Spaghetti-Western soundtracks, the broad landscape feels far to peaceful and lonely for that.
I used MuseScore4 with MuseSounds along with some free VST-instruments, mixed it in MuseScore with MuseFX and a few free VST-effects. For Mastering I used Audacity, so I only used freeware. It's impressive how good free stuff has become.

The competition was to create an original instrumental piece of music uo to 90s in length, wich should be inspired by this wonderful artwork by David Frasheski:
