My submission for the "12 Story Music Composing Competition" of last fall.
I was going for a little "darker" and more "malicious" direction with some bells, E-guitar and string accents, as well as a slightly modified morse code SOS signal adding mystery and tension to the atmosphere, to put you more into the mind of the victim (or possibly the murderer) instead of an unrelated detective. I decided for this mood, since I'm getting the feeling that the onlooker in the picture possibly has some more sinister intentions than a detective trying to solve a murder.

Apart from the morse code signal, everything else was made in MuseScore, with mostly just the free MuseSounds + Vienna Strings, with the Panagment 2 stereo spatialization plugin configured for each instrument. The final mastering I did in audacity

The competition was to create an original instrumental piece of music uo to 90s in length, wich should be inspired by this wonderful artwork "Noir Detective" by Rebecca Hu
