The moment Diamond and Minty first met
(This was before Diamond had his look changed through procedures)
During their first (and only) year of college, Diamond and Minty first met in the courtyard. Everyday Diamond would see Minty kept to herself, saddened, or just looking down. One day the weather was going to get bad. Before it started raining, Diamond saw Minty again, sitting on the bench, looking down. So he decided that he was going to say the first word.
