Stink dragons don’t form families, they form larger groups of 15-20 of mostly unrelated people as the basis for society called a colony. The social bonds within a colony are fairly strong more than just cooperative relationships for survival buts thats mostly dependent on how a Stink dragon feels about particular people in their colony. the size of a colony usually fluctuates. As its common for new members to be incorporated and for old members to leave.
Colonies will divide tasks that help the colony among all of its members, suited best for what a person can do. Like an elderly stink dragon keeping eggs warm and safe from predators while others are out hunting or doing physically demanding tasks.
