The time rift sent him back to the Cretaceous, even as it transformed him. He'll be able to see his flock again.

I hope they are able to make the most of there time that they have, as I just wish they could have had more time even to see the little one grow up a bit more.

I also hope for the best. Maybe he'll find a way to stay there and live out his life as a pteranodon, putting this whole ordeal behind him, and perhaps using his knowledge to better the flock.
