Royal pain in the ass, this was. The feathering detail drove me crazy. Peacocks have such elaborate and colorful feathering. I wanted to try and capture something close to it.
The fine details were accented with metallic paints. Depending on how the light catches it, there are several ways to view this painting. It really stands out in person, but I think the scanner ate a good portion of it despite my best efforts.
