So THAT'S why she reacted the way she did when Quick showed up, she was putting on an act, if it wasn't temporary, then we would've had a whole different outcome involving one pissed off sister, guess she DOES care in her own way, go figure

I do think some of her 'constantly messing with you/jokey' attitude is an emotional defense mechanism. We saw signs of Jen having more emotional depth when Takari her bio-Mom re-entered the story. I do admit it is NICE having a scene showing her be pissed at 'Wingus and Dingus' for her brother's woes. Her making light or even taking advantage of the situation tracks with her coping mechanism, and in some way she's probably trying to take Quick's mind off of his current situation or at least make the most of it.

You'd be surprised at how much hate some characters can receive from fans and haters just for either being themselves or even the most smallest fuck-up and Jen is no different.

Guess I was wrong. Jen does care. And holy crap...she looks like a devil god!

A part of me thinks this was added last-minute in response to the backlash this arc has gotten (along with Chrissy expressing remorse about how things have been going in the last page), but it's better than nothing, I suppose. I also suppose this is in-character for Jen (as in, she truly does care about her friends and loved ones, but is rather bad at showing it).
