At this point, I swear the heroes nowadays aren't even heroes anymore. I mean seriously, they're always letting the villain get away with everything they done and show remorse for them despite the very bad things. Sometimes it feels like the heroes were never real heroes

I agree to some extent. Obviously heroes need to have a moral compass when doing heroics, but when they start to prioritize their own sense of morality above doing what logic says is necessary, like permanently stopping a irredeemable sociopath, then it becomes less about morality and more trying to uphold their self image.

Heroes are not judge, jury, and executioner. When we let a hero kill someone, we are letting one person make that choice. Sure, everyone agreed that was a bad person. What about the next person the hero thinks needs to go? Should we trust a singular person's instincts and biases to make the decision on which lives need to end?

No matter how you spin it, heroes are people who act outside the law. They are not the police. They are not elected by the people. They are individuals who make the choice to do what they do. While it is for the betterment and protection of mankind, they are still a vigilante by definition.

When you let one person make the choice of taking a life, everyone suffers in the end.

You have a point there. Really, when you get down to it, heroism is all a matter of perspective.

People said the same about Batman. He refuses to kill his enemies. He stated that if he were to kill, he would be no different from them. He doesn't want to become the very thing that killed his parents.
