The first production APUV shown in my upcoming TH: Sentience series, this is Car13 built for Heisentek's APUV program that was underway as a result of the A.A.i.C. Black Box project. The program of which was in the pursuit of creating proper, sci-fi level Artificial Intelligence constructs, and pairing them with vehicle chassis.
Car13, affectionately named 'Lucky' by the APUV lead engineer, was intended to be the first production model of the vehicle model. Built on the research of Car12, the lead engineer was told to throw the mechanical 'gauntlet' at this car to see what performance could be achieved on the platform. Mr. Todd Maxwell, the APUV designer and engineer in question, did just that.
Somehow, they figured out a proper high-performance all-wheel drive system, independent rear suspension, as well as a forced induction system with both a supercharger and a pair of turbos; all working in tandem and controlled by the A.A.i.C. inside the vehicle. All of these systems, built with the vastly improved, lighter, and stronger HT Anvil II, Lucky is by far the most ferocious vehicle ever to leave the company garage.
With even more sensors and directional cameras than the previous prototype, Lucky was destined to be the 'high-performance' variant of the project. After their manufacture date in early 2012, Car13 would go through nearly half a year of testing, even going as far as to be shown off at security conferences and privately demonstrated to law enforcement departments. As well as everything had been going, this model would fall through after a 'situation' in which there was a total SCS failure during a system-wide reset, where Lucky fled from the Heisentek facility.
Worse so, the failure and system reset was easily overshadowed during the recent event where [REDACTED], acting alone in a crazed state, actively engaged in project/company sabotage, destroying Lucky's control, tracking, and remote operational systems used to ensure public safety.
Unfortunately, despite security efforts, [REDACTED] chose death by lethal security force after letting Car13 go. Several deaths and injuries were sustained in the incident before the situation was rectified.
Currently, [FBI Note: the last edit date of this 'in-house' entry was Oct 20th, 2012] Lucky's whereabouts are unknown, and a second interloper is now involved. It is suspected this was a ploy to steal secured company assets. Federal and State law agencies are hard at work to reclaim the APUV.
