I've been thinking about how to share this without sounding arrogant, egotistical, or anything like that. I'll just say it like it is.
Well, everyone, I've thought about this more today, and honestly, I don't see the point in offering commissions here anymore. Even with offers or promotions, I haven't been able to get anyone interested, and this has happened three times now.
- It started when my computer broke down, and I was (and still am) dealing with depression because I lost my kitten Miu and there were a lot of expenses.
- The offer from February 14th, which I gave a good amount of time to.
- And this last one I saw supporting the drawings: Project pok-alpha.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to force anyone. Consider this an expression of what's weighing on me and what I'm still going through (which is more than just a few things: a state of health, both physical and mental, that I'm still dealing with, financial problems, and the search for a job opportunity—I'm still sending my CV everywhere). But it's exhausting trying to offer an attractive price, especially considering my artistic skills (which are barely "decent").
Anyway, I'll delete the special commission promotion, and I'll also delete the post where I was giving offers for the computer being repaired.
If anyone wants to ask me for a commission, they are welcome to send me a message, but I'll say right now that it's happened to me MORE times than I'd like to admit.
If I don't receive a response within a week of sending the commission table, I'll delete the conversation. And just to clarify, NO, I don't want to be asked for anything, but it's happened before that people ask about my availability, I send them a commission schedule, and… I wait a week… Then two… And then a month, and nothing…
It's valid (and I think VERY polite) to say you're no longer interested (it hurts, but it's better than leaving the artist in limbo).
Well, to wrap this up. In the future, I'll make ONE LAST attempt at promoting commissions, which will be the classic 2-for-1 deal, but it will be in the summer. If I still don't see any interest, then I'll just limit myself to uploading drawings and little else.
No promotions, no YcH, and no calls for entries to any contests I organize. That said, you can insult me if you want.
