It looks now, as though a number of carvers got nice, elaborate stones from jobbers who specialized in them. Shapes and dimensions will be repeated and some of their competitors may field similar (or identical) shapes. As for the text and the framing, and here, how C.P. used the shape is key. This is your grandmother's fancy china cabinet of marker stones.
