Yeah the hard part is a balance between what I want to write and what is supposed to happen. Auba Sol is a dark and visceral place, not for the faint of heart.
The hard part is writing this in a way that its not received by those outside of the furry community as kink or fetish material. So its been a lot of slow build up to this reveal that is, while obvious to us, should not be to outsiders.

People write what they like a whole lot. Was thinking about how you did a good job of not focusing too much on the theoretically fetish material.
Of course, I notice it immediately so it’s hard to get into the headspace of someone who wouldn’t think of it that way. I’d say it’s played for horror enough, and not overly focused on. I think that it blends in with other horror aspects, though the fact it’s so intrinsic to the world might tip people off who are more familiar with the concept.
