Five fun facts about Hallucigenia:
1) You can find fossils of Hallucigenia in the Burgess Shale (rich fossil beds in British Columbia, Canada)
2) This is a potential ancestor to Tardigrades (water bears)
3) We don't *actually* have a clear idea of what those spindles around it's body are for.
4) Hallucigenia may have demonstrated a kind of proto-dimorphism in which males and females of the species exhibited different characteristics based on sex.
5) Hallucigenia is a f*kn cool name.
