sometimes I get overwhelmed with things, trying to plan everything at the start of the day, while still laying in bed. And the amount of stuff I need to remember, to do, to respond to everyone in socials, it all pins me down and gets me frozen and stuck in a loop. I just woke up, already tired, I need to do SO MUCH things today. It becomes so discouraging and makes it hard to even just get up
I then try to snap out of it, STOP planning anything and force myself to get up to make myself something to consume. A simple single task: shut your brain, get up, get something to eat and drink first, don't check your e-mail, anything else WILL WAIT.
And then (who would've thunk it??) I'm in a much better headspace once I got a cup of coffee and some sustenance in me. Suddenly things are not as intimidating once you get some gas in your engine for it to actually run.
my SO likes to say that your body is a machine, that needs gas and maintenance. he's right, lol
