It's been over a year since I've written a fanfiction as opposed to my original Spark saga, but I've returned to the well! Because I want to cover at least a few different properties before going back to The Spark, I want these fanfics to be on the shorter and simpler side... relatively speaking. As easy as it would be for me to make this a pure oneshot with extremely straightforward conflicts and stakes, I just can't help myself with trying to make things just a bit more fleshed out and dramatic. And having loved several Ratchet & Clank games but not being a super expert, these were fun waters to dive into by building off one of my favorite stories in the series.

The big thing to note is that, unlike my past few stories which were all fully drafted before I posted any chapters, this is the only chapter that's received a full first draft so far. I'm switching back to the old days and seeing how that goes, which means I don't know when the rest of the chapters will be posted. It could be next week, or it could be longer. But maybe having a taste of it now will build more anticipation instead of having all the parts come out so close together. I miss seeing that from people, you know?
