Yeah,,, I know exactly this moment.

I think it's vitally important people know/learn/are TAUGHT, that relationships are based on trust, and the 'Love' that follows once trust is earned/reciprocated. However, it's also important to realize you cannot FORCE another to stay, if their heart/soul/mind changes. Best you can (And should, imho) do with that, is part on as best conditions possible, IF you can remain friends? Polite acquaintances? Best possible outcome.

I've seen far too many fight to stay together, to hold together a dream/attraction that died, and that's worse. The desperation and all the negativity that follows is soul crushing and mentally damaging, some never recover.

Live, love, hold tight to what you can, but also know when it's best to step away.
