Being of nobility could often make the smaller, simpler joys in life hard to find time to come by. Even though Linara lived quite free, and Cedric, as a druid, lived even wilder, their growing duties meant that sometimes it was hard to have things just slow down for a while.

So when Cedric took Linara out to the woods outside of the castle town, to reveal that for Valentine's he had planned a simple, quiet picnic by the lakeside, she was ecstatic. More than a grand party, or a loud, sweeping gesture of love, or an impressive show of his control over plant life, it was just a calm and mundane day with each other.

This was just another expression of how the two knew they were perfect for each other; neither loved like a noble, only like themselves in the purest expression of their affection and comfort. Linara smiled softly as she fell against Cedric's chest and laid herself across and into him, the soft texture of his clothing and the plushness of the fur beneath getting her to give a happy sigh, as the druid took her hand and pressed himself gently into a nuzzle.

His princess, his priestess. Her prince, her knight. Not quite like her storybooks, but she didn't care, this was her happily ever after.

Only a month or so late, these stories take time you know.

Compared to our other paired off characters, Linara and Cedric's romance is a lot more of a proper courtship with each other with dates, cute moments, and quiet periods of just getting to be with each other, even if they can have their own moments behind closed doors that get a little interesting...

So we felt it only fitting for Valentines this year that we get something of two lovebirds being sweet and wholesome with each other, just enjoying a peaceful moment together away from all the busywork and stress of their lives and responsibilities, hope you enjoy!
