These past few years I've gone through a lot of thinking and my feelings about Rykela have changed and improved. I definitely don't want to overload you guys with the details so I'll cut to the part where after finding a copy of the first book in a random gaming store for two dollars I decided I wanted to read Temeraire because it was about dragons.

And I fell in love!!!

More on that later, but it prompted me to get a birthday picture of myself as a feral. The only problem was... well, as the last few pictures showed, I had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to share as a reference of what I felt strongly was her CORRECT design. So... I consulted a picture of Dark Cynder for reference towards the slinky proportions I wanted and drew this - meant to show off everything without all the giant bits getting in the way (they can easily be added, of course). There's nothing for size reference, but let's just say shi's at least thirty feet tall at the shoulders and maybe more like sixty or seventy or even a hundred if I feel like it.

Shi is big and pretty and fierce and looking at hir makes me feel all happy-wiggly species-euphoric. Yes, that's me! What an excellent and fancy dragon. You may look and admire and swoon as you please. Enjoy the privilege of gazing upon hir majesty~!


EDIT: I added a very lovely tailfin to this one and moved the other version to scraps. I've always kind of liked the fish-tail that  Renolethyn's marsh dragon form sported, and since I am originally a water dragon I think it would really suit me, so I added one. TBH I think it could stand to be even bigger, but then at that point it would really cover up the ref so this is fine for now. :P
