It’s my Birthday! Soara and Lucy were here celebrating with me. Then came the time at the end of the party. Time to inflate the birthday dragon! Soara had agreed to do the honors this year with some magic. She cast a spell on me. My body began to shrink and turn into hollow latex rubber like a balloon. My tail sprouted a balloon knot at the end of it. I had shrunk to half my size and then puffed up a little as I filled with helium. Soara had turned me into a living balloon! But as I slowly floated off the ground. Lucy and I agreed I could be bigger. Lucy brought over a helium tank and grabbed me. Hooking my tail up to the tank and inflating me even bigger. As Lucy was inflating me, Soara told her that’s enough. Lucy ignored her and continued to fill me with helium. “Lucy, stop! The more you inflate him the longer the spell lasts!” Soara finally said. “Well then let’s get him to a proper size.” Lucy said with a smirk. I was very overinflated now, nearly spherical, and nearly as tall as I was originally. Lucy let me go and I floated up to the ceiling to join the other party balloons. “Great. Now he’ll likely be up there for a few days.” Soara said, upset with Lucy. “Come on, you know he’ll enjoy it.” Lucy replied. I did like the ballooned form I had taken on. But spending a few days stuck to the ceiling as a helpless balloon was definitely more than I signed up for. As the party wound down, everyone else had left. Just Soara and little ballooned Edragon. “I’ll stay here in your guest room I guess.” Soara said. “Someone has to keep an eye on you. Goodnight.” She left the main hall. Leaving me alone on the ceiling. All in all a good birthday. I got turned into a balloon.
