"In the years since It left, i am absolutely sure I have seen them a few times. Always in passing. a few times id seen a black car with no driver roll by the barn in the morning. and several times i have seen that pontiac parked along the road a bit from the barn or house. I cant explain it but it always comforts my aging heart.
Is this some way Colt is keepin an eye on me? Im not much of a prayer woman, but I feel an overwhelmin sense of peace seein the damned thing.
Anyway. Today they stopped by finally close. This time right up against the fence around the barn. Kinda surprised me but they almost announced themselves today. I heard the crackling and roaring of an engine for a moment and came to the fence to see them like this.
It III, or be it It the same, is now a mercedes. Zippy lil lookin thing. 2 door thing with dark windows and no chrome what so ever. The only thing standing out is that damned fighter plane symbol.
whatever it is.
I stepped around the fence and gave them a little pat on the hood. Didnt scare them this time. Oh I must have been out there for two hours in the drizzle talkin up a storm like it was Margret back in highschool.
I dont have anyone to talk to anymore hardly so it felt good.
Joes been gettin sick and old and my sister seems to be goin senile.
It was only around for the day, but I had spent most of that time with them. I even leaned against them to talk more about the music i been collectin since they last stuck around. Every part of them is warm as the hood. Its the strangest thing.
I talked until my throat hurt today... Maybe the sands gettin to me... Hope they come on back soon.
