Well, uh....
Yep.
So I actually got a PSvita several months ago, loved it, and one of the first games I got for it (and one of the only games I own on it, lol) was the Sly Collection. Great value, three quality games, but when I started playing it I had just finished Tearaway, and Bioshock infinite, games that were like, incredible, (in my opinion) groundbreaking and truly immersive stories. Where Sly Cooper, at least in the first game doesn't have the craziest story (that being said I still haven't finished it) so because it wasn't the same as what I was playing beforehand. I stopped playing it around the second world.
and than I picked it up again a few months later and not only really liked the game but had a massive crush on Sly Cooper.
I do really like the game! It's incredibly well designed and feels like a combination of Crash and Spyro's gameplay in a way thats very seamless.
But I haven't finished the game, mainly because of that stupid car minigame that is first in world 2 and returns in world 4, I didn't even beat the level in world 2 my friend did it for me (he's never played Sly Cooper he's just really good at autistic racing games, he has multiple world record times in Cars 2 on DS) that being said even he was like "yeah no this is garbage" and I don't want to subject him to that again. I don't think I've ever played a game where I think to myself "Oh yeah, the person making this hates people and wants them to suffer" except maybe Frogger: Ancient shadow which I would be astonished if that game had actual human playtesters. Like, the amount of sadism you must have to create the most horrendous car controls known to man and go "yeah lets ship this in a retail product" is insane to me, like you guys need to understand how much I hate that car segment.
I love world 3, Mz. Ruby is a fun villain (cultural appropriation aside) her boss is unique, I didn't have any troubles with the fight personally. And the levels are super creative, using all of these ghost, and hidden enemies. It's what really changed my mind about the game.
oh and the game is super easy to platinum. Like, you just get all the bottles in each level and unlock the vault. Like smashing crates in Crash Bandicoot except way easier. You don't even need any time trials, just get all that and you get the platinum. It says a lot that a third of players platinum'd the game lol. I guess it's fitting for a thief to get the platinum so easily!
this is, as of writing this my best performing post on DA, people like Sly Cooper a lot, I guess. And evidently, buff furries. Why is he buff? I was in a bara mood, I'll probably go back to his thinner body type if I draw him again. I wouldn't mind doing a comic of Sly x Bently
(oh and when I posted this to tumblr with a description about sly being hot a sly and carmalita roleplay blog reposted it with Carmalita going "back off he's mine" and beefing with a fictional character has to be my proudest moment lol)

Sly has been hitting the gym lately, it seems! That shirt is super tight on him, showing off his muscular physique.
I hate when games include a certain frustrating section(s) that is different from how the rest of the game plays. I know exactly what you mean, & I can’t think of any off the top of my head, except for maybe all the Special Stages in all of the 2D Sonic the Hedgehog games besides the original. Seriously, the original Sonic the Hedgehog is the only one that I can get all the Chaos Eneralds on. In all the other Sonic games, I can’t stand the Special Stages (the half-pipe in Sonic 2, the “Collect the Blue Spheres” thing in Sonic 3… gahhh, they’re all so awful!). Oh and the dam stage in the original TMNT game on NES, where you swim underwater & need to disarm bombs within a ridiculously small time limit… that segment of the game is notoriously hated.
Like you with your friend in the driving section of Sly Cooper, I once had a friend who struggled with beating the final snowboarding segment in Mega Man 8 & had me do it for him.

Yeah I don't know what about platformers specifically but up until very recently they've been filled with these really strange minigames! I used to play Sonic 2 on my phone and got super frustrated by the later special stages, they start off fairly easy--at least those are just for the "good ending" rather than being mandatory for completion!
Haha, had a lot of fun drawing Sly this way. And people really liked it! ^^
