This is my part of a trade with
. More info on what happened during this pic's making after the short story I made for this scene.
Some time ago, the giant deer Glenda (and her daughter Elowen) thought their already massive size (big enough to tower over buildings) was just... "not fun enough" according to Elowen. She wanted to "eat the world" (literally). Luckily for them, they seem to have a power beyond our understanding... a power that allows them to sizeshift at will. They just think about how big they want to be, and... they inmediatly notice the effects. So that's how the two ended up being this massive...
"Now... I don't think a single world will be enough for us both!", Glenda said, as she wandered through space to find more planets for Elowen and her. In total, about a dozen worlds... maybe a bit more, maybe a bit less. She took her time, since even at that size, moving through space is not easy, for the void is always bigger. But, in the end, she made it - just in time for dinner.
"That's much better", Elowen said, as the two begun placing the planets between them, as a way to tell who got which planet to eat. Elowen decided to save the Earth for last - it was her idea to eventually eat it, after all.
And so, after some happy gulping, all the planets were gone - except the Earth and the Moon. Elowen took her time to savour them before swallowing. She found it really satisfactory! Now comes the question... how is everything going back to normal?? Or is this just some pocket dimension of theirs?? Do they have more power than they've already shown? Who knows...
So, a while ago,
made a journal about how they were interested in making a trade with others, both art and story were accepted, and I was really interested about that. I feel like I am decent at digital art (not the best, though) and I can also make stories (like that one) if I give this some time (though that one was quite simple, to be honest, but I think it works). Now, they were fine with doing one or the other, but I did both because I felt like it, and also just to make this a bit harder. They also wanted me to draw their characters Glenda and Elowen and gave me a good ref to base this off from, so I decided not to let that go to waste.
So... overall, I think this looks good, but I ran into a couple of issues which I will mention here. First, I believe the two are a bit too fat. Though it is true that they are eating, but still... it was worse with Elowen, which was enough for me to have to fix it. Next was the hair. Though with Glenda I didn't run into any problems as her hair was more simple, I can't say the same for Elowen, specially the lower part of the hair. That, though, I was able to somewhat fix. And finally, the arms/hands. Specifically, the size. Again, Elowen was the problematic one since that is the character who's in a different pose (somewhat). I realized that her hand/arm was too small right when I was finished with the hand, so, since I didn't want to redo everything there, I basically just scaled those up and tried my best to make sure it looked good.
Additionally, I kinda changed my mind on exactly what I wanted to do. Initially, I wanted Glenda and Elowen to only eat planets from our solar system, but I have so many fictional planet assets that I decided to just add them too instead of just focusing on real ones.
In the end though, this was a fun little challenge, and that's all that matters!
Thanks for getting this far if you got here^^
