Fantasy beast! It was an unusual character - and I like such unusual experience.

Thank you so much!
Hmm, I have a rather interesting relationship with clay… Whenever I switch to polymer clay, I fall in love with it and start thinking it’s the best material. Then I begin a sculpture with air-dry clay… and the same thing happens all over again :D
But if we’re talking about longer periods, I’ve noticed that lately I’ve been leaning more toward air-dry clay. It gives me more possibilities for complex and/or larger projects. That’s exactly what I’ve been working on recently, so for the past few months I haven’t even touched polymer clay. At the same time, air-dry clay doesn’t handle certain types of textures very well, and I find it difficult to use for small, highly detailed sculptures. In that regard, it simply can’t compare to polymer clay.
So for me, the choice of material depends on the sculpture itself and the style the character will be created in.

I started with polymer clay, and when I first picked up air-dry clay after working with polymer clay for a long time, I was shocked - I couldn’t understand how it is possible to make anything good out of it at all. I hope your experience with it will be more pleasant right from the start :)
