"It had been awhile since I saw them, but i knew when I heard something fly by the house faster than I anything ive heard before that it was her again.

It IV showed up in a god damned rocket ship. This time they was parked in the wall yard long side the barn. All covered in dirt and road dust. Must have been getting into trouble or something. It looked like they were hiding too. This time their engine and lights were off all queit like.

still warm all around though.

It took all i had that day to get out to the barnyard to visit em.

I sat my tired self against their side and talked as much I could. It been too long.

Told them how i didnt have the energy for the barn anymore and that I sold Strawberry off when Chance died. No animals to care for anymore. Told them how much my chest has been hurtin and how doc turney is lookin into it when I can get into town. Hes hopeful its just nothin. Allergies in my age or somthin. I can hope too I guess.

I had my best friend to talk to again.
