Sally and Ceres - The Very Beginnings
Chapter 3: Sally and Ceres Whitehorn -END-
A look way back at where Sally and Ceres Whitehorn came from, the struggles they faced from Day 1, and the parents who raised them to one day be the wives and mothers they became.

Okay, last chapter, and it’s finally time for some thought-out notes!
When the Sally and Ceres series (lol, accidental pun) started, I had no idea it would go on as long as it has or become what it is, and only the first story had any pregnancy content in it despite the two of them being created for just that: An F/F wholesome homebirth story. I kept thinking of more details to add to the ladies as time went on, and dropped hints on their backstories and the details of where they came from as time went on.
Which is to say, most of the time, I’ve just been winging it and have been lucky enough to have someone to commission who loves these ladies too and has helped fuel my creative passion.
One day, I decided it was time to actually write out some of their pasts, starting with, as the story’s title their very beginnings, right after they were born. That meant shifting the focus off them and showing and developing the people most directly responsible for making them who they are, since they didn’t just raise themselves: Their parents. I put a lot of heart into this story, and it was worth it.
A fun fact: Ceres’s mother Juno is based on a black squirrel who I’ve seen in my neighborhood. I’m not sure if it’s the same one, but I’d never once seen a black squirrel around anywhere I’ve ever lived. Then this one showed up and I saw it here and there. I was so fond of it that, to give it some more uniqueness, I decided she was a female, not just an “it,” and named her Soot. I already knew Ceres’s mother was a squirrel, but Soot inspired me to include her in the story just to make her more distinct. I have some long-term plans for the ladies (who knows if I’ll ever get to them), and she will come up again...somehow.
But for now...
Thanks for reading ^_^
