Douser had grown up on the bold, fantastical tales of the many great heroes of her world. Triumph over tribulation, and the establishment of freedom and security, the very foundation of the world she resides in. She wanted to join these ranks. However, she was born in a safe, small and religious community, knowing not of any of these dangers that these heroes of legends suffered first hand. She was raised on a small and simple set of values, respect, honour, gratitude, and generosity. Morals those of her home strictly went by. She knew not of the uglier sides that the world of intelligent life had to offer, the killers, the exploiters, the sloths, and those willing to let others sink in power for their own benefit. Greed, corruption and using violence out of malice or hatred were as fantastical as the stories she read.



She'd have to learn this the hard way, like everyone in life, though for her, this would be already in her early adult years, after being accepted into the very ranks of noble guardians she longed for all her life.

When faced with a threat of her own, one eclipsing many of the recent great stories she read, one of her own peers having narrowly survived such, it was met with dismission until proven otherwise, as such ignorance lead to several of those within their ranks being killed.

She had first hand exposure to the devastation of the tales she was too hopeful to ignore, the corruption in not just the worlds evils, but within the guild she had wanted all her life to join.



This threat, a mechanical demon going by the "Wooded Devil" would have to be ended by her own hands, gaining her notoriety, though feeling betrayed by the dismissive and cutthroat environment of the other guardians, she chose to remain with them, hoping her new position of notoriety can help her change the corrupt nature of their world in ways they have been willing to overlook.

Ah, Douser! My girl! She was the first ever oc I posted online. Right when I was getting out of a really rough time in my teen years, as well, she's actually the protagonist of this massive fanfic I did a couple years ago, because of which, I care a ton about this girl and she holds a special place in my heart.

Basically, she's a Skylanders oc. She has water abilities, she's shy, and not the most competent, but she ends up accomplishing great things. If you really pay attention to Skylanders lore, some cracks in their ethics begin to reveal themselves (example, in superchargers they literally buy living creatures, greebles, in bulk out of a magazine as "training dummies", literally buying slaves whose only purpose is to be beaten, that is so, insanely messed up) and although a lot of the "unethical" things in Skylanders are just fun things added by developers of a kids game, not to be taken seriously, I decided to recontextualize this for her character. Skylanders Academy has some systemic issues, and she has a problem with this, being a "good guy" and all, she wants to stand up against this.

Eventually, I lost interest in Skylanders, but my main series, all of my online friends, all my oc's, were still tied to Skylanders, I grew a bit of a resentment towards the franchise because I loved the community, loved the fan content I made for it, but gradually loathed the game.

I do still think the games aren't great, but I have my fun with them. I don't think they'd be fun in singleplayer if I didn't grow up with them (except the last two games they have some fun stuff in it) but I do think all six of the games are fun with a friend.

Douser is my most frequently posted oc on DeviantArt, she's been posted well over one hundred times there. Where my most posted oc's behind her are each at around forty. Though--due to there being a lot more sexual content on here I'm not that comfortable with her being on this website. She's my comfort character, she's helped me through a lot, and I don't want any sexual interactions or fanart of her. I'm extremely protective over her. (do note Douser is the exception, I'm fine with people making adult comments or works based on my other adult characters, just not her specifically.) though, if there is enough interest I might start posting the fanfiction she originates from here. With some minor tweaks to fit some lore/design changes, and maybe touch up the writing a little lol.

though--despite the fact I probably won't be posting much art of her on here, I'll probably post the rest of the cast from the story she's from--Reign of the Wooded Devil (ROTWD for short) the titular Wooded Devil barely gets posted, actually. Mainly because her side of the story had a really satysfying conclusion so I didn't feel the need to draw her further. (also a lot of people missed part of the point of the character, and altho I wouldn't really care as much now this really upset me at the time lol)
