Leon Scott Kennedy was born around 1977 and grew up in the USA. Little is known about his childhood, but he developed a strong sense of justice and a desire to become a police officer at an early age.
As a young adult, he joined the police academy and demonstrated great talent. He was particularly skilled with weapons, showed tactical understanding, and was considered a promising young officer. Despite his abilities, Leon was still inexperienced and naive—more of an idealist than a seasoned cop.
After graduating, he is assigned to the Raccoon City Police Department (R.P.D.).
His first day on the job is scheduled for September 29, 1998.
Leon arrives late to Raccoon City (in some versions due to personal problems/too much alcohol the night before), thus initially escaping the disaster—but driving straight into a destroyed city overrun by zombies.
