This was an eagerly awaited piece of art that I've always wanted made. I love how well this scene came out, so warm in both light and coloring, the softness in their faces and their expressions, a sweet moment captured of Tavish (Maned Wolf), Chavra (Grey Cat), and of Sieger (King Cheetah) spending time together.
IlijaMandic brought them to life, he's done such an amazing job, and I can't wait to get more done by him in the future!
A day with you.
A moment of respite from his duties. If he had known they would be visiting he would have prepared a banquet, entertainment, anything they would ask of him. They’ve changed so much since they started their journey.
He insisted they refresh themselves, allow his servants to cater to their needs, and even offered new clothing for them to relax in. He hopes this would make them want to stay a little while longer this time around.
Tales of ancient ruins, scouring the desert of Nessyn for fortunes undiscovered. Chavra’s been away from home so long, enjoying the sunbeams on her fur, she’ll be back on the road again, this Sieger knew. Nothing could stop her from traversing the sands and seeking out every bit of secrets that lay within the golden grains. Chavra had become more bold, he wondered what new spells she had learned, if she was any closer to discovering the secrets hidden in Nessyn.
Tavish surprised him the most. The scars present on the arms and chest, the fur thick and not fit for the desert. Sieger remembered how Tavish left Al-Ru'ne as a young fighter only to return now as a seasoned veteran. He was captivated by the tales of adventures, the fights Tavish survived, the glorious encounters of monsters and aristocracy, the comrades he’s journeyed with, and the fantastic failures he’s learned so much from. Sieger couldn’t help but laugh at some of the more egregious stories, envious of how much both have seen in only a few years.
Will they both spend the night? He always had room in his palace for his friends.
Will Tavish spend it with him? He would always welcome him into his chambers.
Time will tell, for now, he wished to savor every minute with his friends before they must head back out on to their next adventures.
