Translated from the Blackfeet language to Mad Wolf, Siyeh is a well known peak in Glacier National Park. It is known as one of, if not the most, accessible of the 6 10,000ft peaks in the park. Bear in mind, this is not an easy peak to summit. I myself have not made it up yet. Mad Wolf is the name of a prominent chief in the late 1800s/early 1900s. Mad Wolf was a forward thinker, stoic, and proud. During his time, he adopted a white man, Walter McClintock (also has a peak named after him) in hopes that "he could be a chief of his own people". Walter inscribed detailed accounts of Blackfeet tradition and legends. He was very respectful of the culture and frequently made hunting trips into what is now the park alongside his friends in the tribe.
