The most fun piece I’ve worked on so far this year! Inspired by my nostalgia for the cartoons of my VERY early childhood, I picked some of my personal favorite characters and chose my own interpretations of them (some more “on-model,” some reinterpreted at my leisure) to throw together into one piece.

The Care Bears always looked better with more realistic styles, even their original designs...but with every new iteration, they look more and more like low-effort garbage and less like actual bears.
And yes, this pic was basically my childhood. Boy cartoons, girl cartoons, I watched them all. MLP G1 was pretty hardcore. Don't know how it got the reputation of being a "girl cartoon", There was slavery, genocide, home theft, etc going on like every episode. Shit got REAL in Dream Valley. JEM was a TOTAL girl cartoon, yet somehow nobody cared. *shrug*
