Over the last few weeks I have been posting a series of sketches that all involve one very vivid dream I had in my Equestria dreamscape. In my last posting http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6429002 I commented that after hearing Paynes Grays story http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6406252 Celestia wanted to know what I and Petina really were and where we had come from.
We explained as best we could but Celestia insisted that she needed to have clearer picture of where we were from and what those worlds were like. She was already confronted by the realization that she had the Kingdom of Shadows http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6397186 unexpectedly residing within the borders of Equestria, and felt that it was in the best interest of her subjects that she truly understand where both myself and Petina originated from. She asked for us to submit to another test she wanted to perform. She then asked Twilight and Spike to leave for a while. Petina and I would meet up with them later for dinner.
Now as several fans and fan authors have proposed it and in my dreamscape it is also true that Luna is not only the princess of the moon but she also the princess of sleep and of dreams. What Celestia proposed was to put Petina and myself during a sleep spell then let Luna enter our minds through our dreams so both her and Celestia could get better feel for us.
This is the first time I have ever had a character in my sleep make such a request. not even Petina has asked for something like this since she knew from day one that she was a product of my subconscious. Therefore I was very uncertain what the result of this experiment would be. Still I figured my subconscious had something in mind so I ran with it.
Now I have had dreams in which during the dream I fall asleep and have another dream but this felt very different. This felt like I was watching a montage/ anthology of my sleep over the last decade or so. Little snips and segments of different dreams, dreamscapes, characters and situations. When I awoke the first thing I heard was Celestia saying was. "You're right Baron. Petina should have bought the green dress. It looked very flattering on her." I immediately knew that Celestia was referring to a dream I had about four months ago where I had stood around while Petina tried on dresses in a boutique. I had thought that green one she was eying looked good on her but Petina had opted to buy the deep violet one instead. Celestia then said. " And Rosemary was right. I would've been scared at her age if some nasty duck had pulled my tail too!" http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2392807/
Through all this Luna just sat there and stared at me like she had been gently tapped on the head with a five pound sledgehammer, and apparently Petina was either still under the effect of the spell or just not wanting to wake up since she continued to lie on her back and snore away.
For her part Celestia just stared at me with a pleasant little smile on her face. Either she was completely at ease with what I was, or she has one of the best poker faces in the world. She did ask that neither myself or Petina discussed our homeland in great detail with any other ponies. From now on we were from Manehatten. With that we headed off to meet Twilight and Spike for dinner. Then I woke up. Sorry if it took a long time to get all of this dreams posted but it was a meaty one.

Interesting sequence of events. I couldn't help but be reminded o the old Chinese parable of the Emperor who dreamed he was a butterfly, only to be troubled upon awakening by the thoughts of him being a man dreaming he was a butterfly, or perhaps the other way around.
The closest thing I get to what you have are my Deja Vu Dreams. It's when I dream of an even in the future that I experience first hand. The time ranges from 6 weeks to several years from when I dream it to when I live it. It's very rare and even when I do have one, I remember it for a short time then forget about it until it happens in RL. Thus, Deja Vu. I think it has to do with Quantum Mechanics transmitting events from the future into the past as dreams. But it's only for less than a minute. Word for word, text for text, person for person. Everything is exactly as I dreamed. Places I've never been to or could even conceive of what would be in the buildings (or computer) or even the people I see and hear. There's no way random thought processes could come up with that. Chaos Theory be damned. No chain of random events could recreate a dream unless Quantum Theory is in play.
About what I expected. Although Celestia could have made any number of counter-arguments to your understanding of your dreamscapes, she's one to keep things that don't absolutely have to be said to herself. She let you know that she knows everything significant (or more) about you and what you've done/experienced, yet left your assumptions unchallenged. She's also probably as good as said she trusts you and Petina in Equestria.
I repeat again, no pony puts anything over on Celestia that she doesn't want!
As for the Lord of Shadows, I've been wondering if he has any power in an area made to glow -- and I mean everything within it, so that there are no shadows at all. While it would be a bizarre experience (rather like trying to see through fluorescing lenses, which I've done), it might be an effective personal defense.
I know. It's the one thing (besides the pace of postings) that gets me frustrated about your dreamscapes. Even if I have an idea to pass along and you can somehow pursue it during a dream, I have no way of telling if things have progressed too far for it to be meaningful anymore.

It is a dream of her in her normal 8.5" tall white mouse form. It happened before I started having dreams in the Equestria dreamscape. It was just one of those slice-of-life dreams I had one evening. No major plot advances in any of my dreamscapes or special events. Just me and Petina going to mall. Having lunch and then her browsing through a couple boutiques.
Yeah, but it's such a classic scene (male waits/watches as female tries on a series of outfits).
And it'd be interesting to see the two dresses so we can compare for ourselves. As you said, Petina is aware of what she is to you and therefore probably about all of us reading about her. Imagine her reaction to hearing that not only you and Celestia preferred the green dress but that so did a whole mob of her fans in this world!

I hope you dream more, if you're OK with a recurring MLP theme of course. The story had me riveted and I loved the art to add clear visuals to what I was imagining was happening. To be honest, in the hopes of catching updates ASAP I've been checking your page as though it were a webcomic.
If Luna is the princess of dreams, is there any chance that she saw things that were overlooked by Celestia? Even if Celestia saw clear through to our world (and its not clear she did) she might have missed that 'you' are a gateway to several other dreamscapes; some of them even worse than anything in the Realm of Shadows.
