MAoI = Miniature Art of Ileyeah (Miniature for those are all ACEOs)


I am getting closer and closer to the end of my project! :D So please beare with me for a few uploads more and then I am done. ^___^

This card was actually quite a challenge. The swamp buffaloe is one of those critters of mine that had so far only been drawn in profile. To "translate" that into another view was really a hard task, especially as I wanted to keep something bovine in its overall appearance.

I do think it worked out fine in the end. :)


Name: Swamp Buffaloe

Environment: Marshlands, Swamps, Bogs

Diet: herbivore

Although equipped with a multitude of horns, spikes, claws and teeth the Swamp Buffaloe is a rather gentle critter. It lives in herds of 6 to 8 individuals, led by an experienced adult couple. The coat of the bulls is more colourful than that of the cows and increases in luminosity when the bull is in any state of arousal.
While not looking like it the buffaloes are excellent swimmers and even manage to dive short distances to graze on the ground of bogs and quagmires.
