The Silver Plateau [Mentally Charmed]
I've been developing this for a long time now (since the end of the last comic page) and now I've got the setting for Mentally Charmed fleshed out:
The Silver Plateau is a large town situated in a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon style world, the town Lucky and Maneki live in is full of anthros. A lot of the technology they have is adopted from human stuff.
Think early 2000's level technology minus the internet or telecoms. The wilderness is populated by ‘savages’, some of which can be aggressive.
Humans are strangely absent from the world. Nobody knows where they went, but they left a ton of their technology and buildings behind in an abandoned but mostly intact state.
Lucky leads an exploration team, delving into abandoned human "dungeons" to retrieve valuable artifacts that research teams could use to learn from.
In one such expedition in a deep, isolated lab. Lucky stumbled upon Maneki, sealed away in a water tank with minimal life support power. He freed the Mewtwo, and Maneki eventually became head of the research team.
Most pokemon were scared or wary of the powerful legendary but Lucky just didn't seem to care that the Mewtwo could effortlessly obliterate him if he felt like it.
Both, anthros and ferals exist in this setting. most ferals inhabit the wild, but some humanshape Pokemon do too.
There are also feral type pokemon living in the towns and they're as intelligent as the anthros, but they're not as common.
Hostile pokemon that inhabit the mystery dungeons, both anthro and feral, are called 'savages'. However, just because they are savage doesn't necessarily mean they lack intelligence.
There are also anthro and feral variants of the same species (for example, canon quadruped Umbreons exist along with anthropomorphic two legged Umbreons)
Humans are absent from the world (LOL damn you Pokopia), but No war or meteorite or other easily visible apocalyptic event has been recorded in the human records found by the Pokemon explorers. No signs of damage to any man-made buildings outside of wear and tear from lack of maintenance and the passage of time. Many liminal spaces exist because of that.
One of the jobs the Silver Plateau research team Maneki leads is reverse engineering technology based on human artifacts that Lucky's exploration team retrieves from the mystery dungeons.
They also compile historical records while searching for clues as to what happened to humanity.
In this setting, Pokemon text is different from human, but they adopt some of the words and letters from human text.
Most pokemon don't know how to read human words, but with a bit of training and practice they can.
Lucky himself has started learning a bit only because of Maneki trying to teach him. Clover cannot read human text.
On the topic of clothing and nudity, the wearable explorer accessory would "magically" conceal their privates such that they look as anatomically correct as a barbie doll. (This would also give me a lore friendly excuse to draw Lucky in a swf manner if I wanted to feature him in a non explicit drawing scene)
Of course conventional clothes would also still exist but some pokemon would prefer the more natural appearance.
On commerce and currency, there is paper and coin ₽ left over from when humans were still around, but the pokemon are beginning to develop their own currency to better facilitate in the trade with the traveling caravans that go between pokemon settlements.
I'll do another post later pointing out the different buildings in the town.

Took me a moment to figure out what was bugging me about this. You have the large roads, but it lacks small ones. There shouldn't be grass in front of the doors, and usually there's pavement or decorative stone pathing adjacent to walls. There'd probably be trampled grass near the benches.
And maybe some of the building corners are too close to the edge. Either structurally unsafe or fearsome for maintenance.
