Brutus is actually the most romantic character of the whole story. Sorry to break some hearts but he's already married. Or, mated. I don't know, still figuring out what I'm gonna call it in this semi-futuristic anthro world.

All I know is I don't want its marriage to involve any financial contract, but simply be an unconditional ceremonial that celebrates a romantic relationship for those who plan to spend the rest of their lives together. And people don't really use the term "husband" or "wife", but simply "spouse". And both monogamy and polygamy is legal as long as all partners consent. And marriage doesn't necessarily do rings either but instead items with individually personal meaning, so everyone has its own unique thing for themselves at home or wearing on themselves.

Yes, I know, in real life I'd single-handedly ruin the entire global economy with my fantasies where people only marry for love and unconditional one at that. Let me dream. The Luminous Red world here will be cruel enough even with its few loving married characters in it.

On a side note, this page made me realize how the word "bullshit" might be considered a racist insult for bovine anthros, haha. So now I'll just make everyone in this Luminous Red world not be oversensitive about it and use the word the same way humans do. Screw it.
