My friends and I had an art even where we chose the theme "retro" and made an art piece around it. I decided to make a Nintendo DS-styled Haku model and I really enjoyed the process and result! I imagine you'd be able to rotate the camera around me using the touch screen.

Also, yup, I modeled this in Blender. I actually downloaded models from Final Fantasy 3 DS and Animal Crossing Wild World to study how they were constructed. Then, I went about building my model and getting the hang of where to cut the quads into triangles to get the shapes to flow well.
