More one day paintings!! This round's being hosted by a character I haven't named yet :O. But just because you don't have a name, doesn't mean you can't be a star.
I'm gonna open eight slots this time. It's only eight this time because I prefer to reopen comms while I'm still in the middle of my queue, just so there aren't any gaps in my schedule.
If you'd like some other examples of one-day's, take a trip down One Day Lane. I'm behind on posting, as usual, so I haven't got anything in there that's recent. That's why I jammed some pics in the image above :P
In terms of process, I usually work in three stages. 1) Getting a rough sketch/composition 2) Advancing a bit with color 3) Going to completion. It'll be pretty similar to the regular painted scenes, except I won't generate alternative sketches or color thumbnails. Expect some deviation between stages, as I'll be reworking things frequently in order to keep up the energy.
I should also note that it's not uncommon that I take longer than a day to finish these. If I don't feel they're working out well, I consider it necessary to take extra time to finish them. If something takes longer than a day, I don't post it to One Day Lane.

While it says 7/8 slots, you've also got two already asking for spots above me, so I probably missed it.
I also really do need to get that full list of artists done, because there are some where I can't easily click on a link and get 'every picture this artist has done for me' so I can figure out new ideas.

A nice future goal would be to have a nice responsive web interface for these little slot openings so that the counter is updated on acceptance.
Also, I appreciate the scenarios you bring. I also like the simple ones like "Jenora dancing." One of the nice things about art is the ability to bring out the feelings in simple actions or to capture more elaborate story moments as one wishes.
And we'll do something again soon! I know it!
