I wouldn't be cheering early tho, the lower price is artificial, for them to do this they either had to compromise elsewhere or slow down the supply to meet a certain demand.

Nintendo has a good reason to keep Switch 2 prices where they are for the next two years: Pokemon is moving to the Switch 2 for Gen10. This means many people who haven't already bought a Switch 2 are going to be buying one in the next two years, a good reason for prices to remain the same.
A good chunk of that can be blamed on AI data centers taking up all avaliable RAM and parts making them few and far between which significantly drives up the price tags, on top of that you have tarrifs making everything even more expensive. Industries are also priming people to get used to higher prices to see how high they can get people to pay before the market crashes.
I swapped to PC gaming, it's pricey up front but I can swap out parts as needed and with Steam's constant sales it's way cheaper long term as well as being able to use it as a PC. It really is king.

I switched over to Linux to cut off the Windows 11 AI bullshit and it's night and day. Literally never ran so damn good since I got the thing. I'm knocking out as much of the bullshit as possible, really it's a waiting battle since AI takes more money than it makes (which is none) and is as over hyped as NFT's were. The bubble won't last forever and once that blows things will be much better. Doesn't hurt that people absolutely fucking hate the AI bullshit and it's legit doing serious damage in the sense that they're bleeding people, habits get rewritten and people don't go back, that's why Windows is panicking over the windows 11 disaster.
