The baanthurian’s ability to camouflage seamlessly with any environment has helped them approach prey undetected, until it is time to strike. This strategy has carried on into the space age, with the advent of cloaking technology allowing warriors, hunters and admirals alike to utilise this ancient technique.

Warriors are kitted with armour both protective and cloaked, and ships often employ cloaking technology to ambush enemy fleets and space fauna to hit them with short-range torpedoes for immense damage, yet traditional baanthurian hunters forego cloaking or armour altogether, the skilled huntsman can make do with little more than a spear.

Many baanthurians choose to spend a month or so surviving in the wilderness of their homeworld with nothing but the sticks and stones around them, risking their lives to honour their ancestors who were not blessed with modern amenities, by living as they did for some time. Primitive clothing would impede their ability to camouflage, so they hunt without wearing anything.

The United Baanthurian Clans are a militarist/egalitarian/xenophile, warrior culture/environmentalist democracy with the wild calling origin.
