Trasfondo
Antes de aceptar plenamente su destino como Avatar del Shēngxiào , el Zodiaco chino, la vida de Jennifer Wang seguía un camino distinto.
Se había mudado a otra ciudad para cursar la universidad, compartiendo un pequeño apartamento con una amiga Terrie Gibson. Entre estudios y un trabajo de medio tiempo, su vida avanzaba con normalidad hasta que recibió la noticia que lo cambió todo:
Su abuela había fallecido. El golpe fue devastador. Durante el funeral, Jennifer apenas podía procesar la pérdida. Sin embargo, después de lo ocurrido, recibió algo inesperado: su abuela le había dejado una misteriosa caja lacada roja.
Jennifer no entendía su significado. Por un momento pensó en dejarla en casa de sus padres. Pero algo, una intuición difícil de explicar, le dijo que debía llevársela.
Días después, de regreso en su apartamento, y llena de curiosidad recordó aquella caja.
Al manipularla, esta se abrió, revelando una serie de talismanes dorados, cada uno inscrito con el nombre de un animal en caracteres chinos.
Intrigada, Jennifer intentó tomar el del “tigre”, su signo de nacimiento. Pero su mano se detuvo. Sin entender por qué, tomó el talismán que decía “rata” y se lo puso en el cuello.
En cuanto lo hizo, el metal comenzó a fundirse, deslizándose sobre su piel hasta ser absorbido completamente. Una descarga recorrió su cuerpo. El dolor fue inmenso y
la transformación, inevitable. Luego solo oscuridad.
Cuando despertó, ya no estaba en su mundo. Se encontraba en un lugar desconocido.
Confundida, buscó un reflejo y lo que vio la dejó sin aliento:
Su cuerpo ya no era humano. Había adoptado la forma de una rata antropomorfa, Ese fue su primer contacto real con el poder del Shēngxiào .

La forma de la Rata representa el inicio del ciclo. Astucia, adaptabilidad y supervivencia. Pero para Jennifer, también marcó el comienzo de una verdad difícil de aceptar:
Estaba dando el primer paso en un camino del que no podía regresar... Su vida normal había terminado...

Hydrokinesis: Controls water in various forms, being able to manipulate its flow, density, and movement with precision.
Water Simulacrum: Can create a duplicate made entirely of water, useful for distraction, combat, or evasion.
Surface Tension Manipulation: Is able to alter the surface of the water to create prison bubbles, trapping enemies or containing objects.
Water Elemental Form: Can transform her body into water, allowing her to dodge physical attacks or move fluidly.
Hand-to-Hand Combat: Basic training acquired at the Jianghu Palace, adapted to her agile and evasive style.

Background

Before fully accepting her destiny as the Avatar of the Shēngxiào, the Chinese Zodiac, Jennifer Wang's life followed a different path.

She had moved to another city for university, sharing a small apartment with a friend, Terrie Gibson. Between her studies and a part-time job, her life was progressing normally until she received the news that changed everything: her grandmother had passed away. The blow was devastating. During the funeral, Jennifer could barely process the loss. However, afterward, she received something unexpected: her grandmother had left her a mysterious red lacquered box.
Jennifer didn't understand its meaning. For a moment, she considered leaving it at her parents' house. But something ,an intuition difficult to explain, told her that she should take it.
Days later, back in her apartment, and filled with curiosity, she remembered that box.
As she handled it, it opened, revealing a series of golden talismans, each inscribed with the name of an animal in Chinese characters.
Intrigued, Jennifer tried to take the one for the "tiger," her birth sign. But her hand stopped. Without understanding why, she took the talisman that said "rat" and put it around her neck. As soon as she did, the metal began to melt, sliding over her skin until it was completely absorbed. A jolt coursed through her body. The pain was immense, and the transformation, inevitable. Then, only darkness.
When she awoke, she was no longer in her world. She was in an unfamiliar place.
Confused, she looked for a reflection, and what she saw took her breath away: Her body was no longer human. She had taken the form of an anthropomorphic rat. That was her first real contact with the power of the Shēngxiào.

The form of the Rat represents the beginning of the cycle: cunning, adaptability, and survival. But for Jennifer, it also marked the beginning of a difficult truth to accept: She was taking the first step on a path from which there was no return... Her normal life was over...
