A long run away from the crime scene, Out two heroes would be catching their breath and leaning against the walls of an alleyway. Frostbite stood by a dumpster, checking over his equipment after the fight. Seems those rioters didn’t use anything really sharp; he only had scuff marks from cudgels and some blades with blunt blades. The padding of his clothes took most of the shock and blows; he was fine.
The fox started to chuckle, “Over twenty men, and they still weren’t enough.” he said, and then looked over at his partner, “This has got to be our best crime bust.”
Lightshow was actually rather quiet, she was leaning against the wall still, and silently putting on her regular clothes, “Yeah, it was… something.” She kept looking down as she put her wig on, not even looking in her bag.
Isaac took his goggles off, and lifted his hood. He walked closer and saw more of her expression. “Are you okay?” He tried to lift her head so they were seeing eye to eye. “Did something happen while you were in that office with the lion?”
“They were doing this because they were wronged, Isaac.” Elisa looked up at him, “After I broke that tool they were using, she snapped, said they all used to work there and weren’t being appreciated. They were thrown out of the place despite all the good they did for the company.”
“Okay, They didn’t like how they were treated, and?”
“Doesn’t that sound familiar?” Elisa explained, “We fight these bad guys and then the cops chase us down too? Blame us like they blame criminals?”
“Well, yeah, but we didn’t attack people for it.”
“Not yet.” Elisa said, “How long until we end up doing that though.” She pointed right at him, “You already get angry about it. I don’t do this out of hate, I’m just having fun.”
“I mean..” Isaac looked away, rubbing the back of his head, “I enjoy this too, but…” he shook his head, “No, We’re the good guys, and we stop scum and criminals.”
“Just as long as we know who those are.” Elisa said, “It’s just something to think about.” The cat finished her costume, and started walking toward home, “Thanks, Isaac, for saving me back there.”
“What are friends for?” Issac said, “See you at school.” Then the two parted for their homes.
