Alright, no more jokes. The Maxx is a comic that hit me right where it hurts, and even so, it feels like the equivalent of an herbal remedy for a stomach ache—but for that place where guilt wounds and the kinds of trauma you never want to remember live. And how sad that not long after finishing it, its author left this world! I think he was an archmage too, because his work is truly enchanting.
