I drew this a couple of years ago for an art jam called, What? A Cartoon? Basically, you had to draw a fake screenshot of your characters, then add vintage, video tape effects to it. At first I was going to have Greg and Chad advertising Kelloggs Corn Flakes, but changed my mind. What better product for my Brit squirrel character, Greg to advertise than a brand of tea?😆 I guess this could have been from a video tape featuring vintage commercials. Was pretty tricky drawing my characters around the real images of the furniture and props. Was fun to try something different from what I normally do.
Most of the video tape effects came from a free set of digital brushes made by disyukov on Deviantart. I wanted to give them a shout out and thank them for making those brushes available for anyone to use. 🙂👍 I also would like to thank the internet for the images of the props and furniture.😆
