For Nae, aka:

This is what I was immediately inspired to do for a day or so straight, after Nay gave me this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6452933 [link NSFW]
I know it's not much in the face of that monstrous masterpiece she made, but she seems to approve of this attempt.
I don't have much to say, other than to explain that this is something of an abstract look at how she was influenced by me to portray herself in other forms, as well as her eventual arrival at her current persona. It's nothing very definite, and just meant as a kind series of words to my friend.

The thumbnail is from a spur-of-the-moment commission she and I got together earlier this evening, which can be found here: (but you should wait until the poem/story itself directs you to see this, for effect in the narrative) http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6453186/

Ame, your way with words is always something to be admired. in a way, you fit the steroitype of the silver tongued serpent very well (and i mean this as a complement in every sense.)
a fitting and well inspired piece of prose in response to the very beautiful picture she did for you, and ill say this here, the way you two inspire each other is something very special.
so basically, you both do awesome stuff for each other. which is awesome.

Thank you. I paid good money for this silver tongue, and I intend to get said money's worth out of it! :}==*==< (that is a sparkle to show the silver. Yes, that was dumb, quiet you.)
My gratitude for your kind words about my skills and this poem in particular.. and yeah, I hope I can continue to keep up with her. It's been pretty awesome so far!
And thanks for the fave, too! <3

Thanks again for the fave on this! :D
No, I wouldn't dare to compare myself to the high shelf that is Beowulf! In fact, I haven't really ever read any of it, or looked into it...
*goes and looks into it more than he had in the past*
...whoa whoa whoa, wait, Beowulf is alliterative?!?! That makes me feel so validated, now! I can just use this example to defend my ridiculous over-use of it in my stories! (Of course I'm kidding, but that's still cool to know. And I do still feel a bit validated.)

Ned sounds like a little cutie! To be honest though the other two options sounded better, koi are really cool fish although for such a small fish to be the wife/toy/pet of a shark would be rather hazardous. The 'Your hiss I'd miss' line was very sweet in comparison! Truly a lovely poem to accompany the picture. Is that her canon back-story though?
It's not Nay's backstory, at least not in-character. It's more of how the concept of my her being a mantis started. :3
Once, my 'sona was a wolf, but then I met Ame and he started 'corrupting' me. First he influenced me to make a snake version of her, after that we came up with a koi mermaid version of her, then came the mantis, where I finally settled on!
He succeeded in corrupting me, maybe not into snake (I think that's what he truly wanted haha), but at least he got me out of the furred family! XD

Naga would have been nice, but I also thought, at one time, that you might have been most suited to mermaid. (which would also be really nice! :D )
But mantis seems more fitting now. More natural. With a snake or a mermaid, you'd almost have seemed like you were trying to actively fit into the role, rather than JUST fitting without effort. Fitting without effort, that's the mantis. Maybe! You never know!
Anything but just a wolf. A pure white wolf with black hair wasn't bad, but.. *shrugs* you were destined for more.

Oh I see, how creative!
I saw Ame’s comment about the mantis character being more ‘natural’ for you so I am glad that she worked out because she is both beautiful and has a interesting design (Says the guy with a similar character XD) but that koi... <3 It isn’t often that I would choose something else over a naga but that koi is stunning! Aquatic creatures sadly come with their restrictions and so make poor ‘sonas’ but for what it is worth she looks gorgeous and unique.

Yeah, I was being a bit mushy. Or that "random snake" was, in the poem! He had to tell her the truth, but also tried to state it in the most charming way possible.
And Nay already explained, but I want to say: It's just an abstract re-telling of how she had those other forms, briefly. Although, she DID have the snake one for a nice little span of time. :}===<

Well that mushiness would have won me over! <3 Besides his species being irresistible how could you not be smitten by such a smooth talker?
Now that I understand the reasoning behind the story I can completely appreciate it but I still say that you did a marvellous job! All of the rhymes fitted and at the same time the story flowed well. Congratulations on the serpentine ‘corruption’ as well!

Heh, now this is good! Poetry's a woefully underused art form, much harder to master than story-writing, but truly there is not a thing that you can't do with words, Ame!
I like the flow, too, the rhythmic structure feels very natural, it flows off the imaginary sibilant tongue in my head with an ease that makes me wonder if you've hypnotised me... er, again. I'd, er, never seen Ned in quite this light, either, being myself a mild arachnophobe.
You and Nay have something really special, and it shows (and gives me a nice warm fuzzy glow, heh)
Once again, good stuff; well done!

A great many thanks all for you,
fave and comment, the sacred two!
One in verse and rhyme is quite the treat,
save for my need to outdo your feat! >:}===<
But really, thanks! I have another few long poem-things around, attached to some artworks.
Here's one: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4644691/
And the other.. it both tells a tale of- and is attached to- art depicting CTF (cock transformation). But if you don't mind odd metamorphosis and merging, that one is in two parts, starting here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5071077/ and ending here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5071114/
