Here's a watercolor painting in my dragons and blooms series, a little windflower (anemone) dragon. This particular one is mostly pale pink with a darker purplish pink on the shadows. The dragon has scales which mimic the shape of the flower, and its head mimics the coloration of its center. It also features large antennae and dragonfly-like wings which have a vague iridescence to them.
This one survives off of the morning dew from the flower petals and the sunshine, as it fans out its wings to collect more light. They are mostly relatively small, roughly the size of a dragonfly. They make a loud buzzing sound with their wings when they fly about. Some of them have more of a green blend to them, in order to camouflage better. This also happens as they spend more time on one spot, taking on the coloration of the plant and its blooms. Most start out pale, while some grow to be more vibrant and colorful.
