Here is a little background for anyone curious. This dragon is my lovely character named Asil that I have been dragging around in SS13 for years and has seen many different adaptations and now being a dragon in DnD.
This version specifically is representing the runic subclass of the dracomage in Aron's demi-dragon book. Which is a hybrid between a wizard and a demi dragon. You have access to the wizard spell list, get a wizard book and as a gimick you have runes that allow you to modify your spells a bit like cast a self range spell on an ally. it also encourages casting different spells to empower yourself so that casting fire ball isn't alway the most optimal path. Overall the book makes a great effort of giving you the feel of a dragon while maintaining the class balance of a normal party.
