We recently had a spate of bad weather round my way (well, recently as in a couple of months ago, which is when I drew this), which included several days of rain. I would wake up most mornings, throw open the curtains, look outside...and inevitably get a certain Supertramp song stuck in my head. I had to exorcise this demon somehow, and that ended up inspiring this drawing. I feel like a lesser man would have just gone down the easier Gene Kelly or Burt Bacharach routes.
And would you believe it, the day I drew this ended up being the one day that week where it didn't rain!
