For Easter Sunday this year, I've done another song that commemorates the message of the real reason of the holiday: the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, conquering death and opening the life gates to heaven. This one is "Because He Lives." Although I based it out of a hymnbook arrangement like most of my hymns, the song was written in 1971 by Bill & Gloria Gaither. The instrument lineup is the usual lineup I use for other hymns:
Sax section (alto, tenor, baritone)
Glockenspiel
Vibraphone
Xylophone
Marimba (grand staff)
Piano (simplified accompaniment)
This arrangement © me and me alone
Original music © Bill & Gloria Gaither (as songwriters), Gaither Music Group, LLC, and everybody else who owns the rights. This song is NOT in the public domain.
IMPORTANT! Because I am taking Easter Sunday off from this website entirely, I am uploading this now.
